A local government authority in Wakefield is looking for an Environmental Health Officer to ensure health and safety compliance across local businesses. This role involves conducting inspections, providing advice, and supporting businesses in adhering to health regulations. Ideal candidates should have a relevant degree in Environmental Health and registration with a professional body. We are seeking an Environmental Health Officer/ Senior Environmental Health Officer (EHO) for our Health & Safety team.
The purpose of this role is to undertake health and safety regulatory work to protect the health of people choosing to work in businesses in the Wakefield District. You will go outand visit varied businesses to advise and support them with their health and safety.
You will undertake a range of inventions as an authorised local authority officer and ensure businesses comply with relevant legislation and statutory guidance relating to the regulatory function.
