A local government authority in the UK seeks a qualified Environmental Health Officer to support operational delivery within the Farming, Food and Health team. We are looking for a suitably qualified Environmental Health Officer, who will support the development and operational delivery of the Farming, Food and Health (Regulatory Services) team in the Western part of the county, covering the Skipton and surrounding areas.
Regulatory Services includes the Council’s Environmental Health Services, and some Trading Standards functions. Its purpose is to protect and enhance the health, safety and wellbeing of residents and visitors to the County and to protect the interests of legitimate businesses. This is achieved by providing advice and guidance and, where necessary, by enforcing relevant legislation to deliver the Council’s statutory and non-statutory functions of Regulatory Services.

We are looking for individuals who have experience of working within Environmental Health and of managing conflict and complaints informally and formally.
As an Environmental Health Officer, you will have a Degree in Environmental Health (BSc or MSc), be a qualified Environmental Health Officer registered by the Environmental Health Registration Board and a Member of the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health.
