Sodexo is looking for a Cook Manager to take the lead at Platt Primary School, Maidstone Road, St Mary’s Platt, Sevenoaks, TN15 8JY. You’ll run a warm, friendly school kitchen that plays an important part in the day for students and staff. From preparing nutritious meals to shaping menus and supporting your team, you’ll be at the heart of a busy, enjoyable environment. What You’ll Do:

Your role will be all about quality, teamwork and smooth daily operation. You’ll make sure meals are consistently good, the kitchen runs efficiently and the team feels supported. Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing delicious, fresh meals and overseeing daily service

What You Bring:

• Experience cooking for large groups (100 – 1300 students), ideally in a school or similar setting
• Confidence working with fresh ingredients and following recipes
• Previous experience supervising or managing a team
• A good understanding of kitchen health and safety
• A calm, positive attitude when working under pressure
• NVQ Level 2 or Level 2 Food Safety, plus at least one year of hands on cooking experience

Training in Food Hygiene and Health and Safety will be provided to support your development.

• £14.00 per hour
• 30 hours per week
• Working pattern: Monday to Friday 8am-2pm
• Term Time only (39 week Working Contract paid over 52 weeks)

Equated pay (sometimes known as spread-over pay) is a method of paying you for your contracted hours, working weeks and holiday pay spread over 12 months instead of just receiving pay during the months that you work and none during the school closures/non-working weeks.
