Job Description

We are recruiting an experienced Care Coordinator to manage daily scheduling, supervise care staff, and maintain excellent service standards. This is a pivotal role ensuring quality care delivery and compliance with CQC regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Staff Scheduling & Rota Management: Create and manage staff rotas to ensure all care visits are covered; respond to last-minute absences or changes and reallocate staff as needed.
  • Client Care Planning: Develop and update individual care plans in collaboration with clients and families; conduct client assessments and regular care reviews.
  • Supervision & Support of Care Workers: Provide ongoing support and guidance to care staff; conduct spot checks, supervisions, and performance reviews; act as the first point of contact for clients, families, and staff; liaise with healthcare professionals and social services as required.
  • Compliance & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of care delivery, rotas, incidents, and staff performance; ensure documentation meets CQC standards and internal policies.
  • Training & Onboarding: Support the induction of new carers and arrange mandatory training; monitor staff training compliance and arrange refreshers when needed.
  • Emergency Cover & On-Call Duties: Participate in the out-of-hours on-call rota (if applicable); step in to cover visits when necessary to maintain continuity of care.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor service delivery through client feedback and audits; address complaints and incidents in a timely and professional manner.
  • Recruitment Support: Assist in recruiting care staff, including interviewing and shortlisting candidates; ensure all new hires meet safeguarding and regulatory requirements (e.g., DBS checks).
  • Health & Safety: Identify and manage risks in care delivery; ensure all staff adhere to infection control, safeguarding, and health & safety policies.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of domiciliary care sector
  • Strong organisational and IT skills
  • Full driving license
