About The Role

The Corner London City Hotel is seeking a dynamic Director of Sales & Marketing to lead its commercial strategy and drive revenue growth across corporate, MICE, and leisure segments. Located in the vibrant heart of East London, our hotel blends contemporary design with a playful spirit—making it a preferred destination for business travellers, creatives, and event planners alike. In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for expanding our presence in the local and national market, cultivating high‑value corporate accounts, and unlocking new opportunities in the meetings and events space. You will manage and support a small reactive team alongside the GM across sales, marketing, and events, ensuring seamless execution and alignment with this unique brand and business goals. This is a hands‑on, market‑facing role for a natural business hunter—someone who thrives on networking, hosting, and being visible in the industry and market. You’ll take ownership of hotel commercial performance and strategic planning, with a clear focus on driving top‑line revenue and delivering measurable results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the full segmentation management for the hotel focusing on business group, corporate, leisure and MICE.
  • Develop and implement a robust sales strategy for the hotel with a emphasis on transient corporate and MICE growth, both locally and nationally.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships to drive new business and account expansion.
  • Lead sales activities to represent the hotel in the market including client visits, show rounds, FAM trips, sales activities, networking & client and targeted campaigns.
  • Oversee marketing and promotional content, ensuring it remains fresh, relevant, and aligned with brand positioning whilst working with RBH marketing.
  • Work with RBH central sales team to attend national appointments, initiatives and client events.
  • Manage and mentor a direct report across sales, marketing, and events, fostering collaboration and accountability.
  • Monitor performance across key metrics, adjusting tactics to optimise yield and conversion.
  • Maintain a sharp eye on cost of sales and marketing, ensuring efficient use of resources and strong ROI.
About You
  • An experienced hotel sales leader, within a minimum of 3 years in a hotel sales role.
  • A confident communicator with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
  • Deeply familiar with the London market and passionate about uncovering new opportunities.
  • Energetic, proactive, and results‑oriented, with a flair for creative business development.
  • Experienced in hotel sales, particularly within corporate and MICE segments.
  • Strategic in thinking, tactical in execution, and comfortable leading from the front.
  • Adaptable and resilient, thriving in a fast‑paced, ever‑evolving environment.
