Priory Hospital Dewsbury is looking to recruit a Deputy Ward Manager to join the team on the Jubilee Ward. This is a full time position of 40 hours per week. Based in the residential area of Earlsheaton, West Yorkshire, Priory Hospital Dewsbury provides level 2 rehabilitation services divided into two wards. Care is for male patients who have mental health disorders and we also offer neuropsychiatry support, support for older people and dementia, community-focused rehabilitation, and support for severe and enduring mental health.
Although Dewsbury is not a 24/7 acute hospital, we are well-placed to provide support to acute patients within our dementia services, for those who require an alternative setting to an acute psychiatric ward. Admissions can also take place due to other placement breakdowns (either from their home or other care environment), or from prison settings.
You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our patients wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. You will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of patients
