Job summary

A children's care organization in Taunton is looking for a Deputy Intensive Children's Home Manager to provide therapeutic support for young people. This role requires a minimum Level 3 qualification in Children's residential and at least 2 years' experience in a Residential Children's home. 9-5 Monday to Friday plus occasional sleeps and shift work as needed.

We are looking for a Deputy Manager in our home which offers intensive, therapeutic support over a 3‑6 month placement. You willbecome part of an amazing team, supporting young people to reach their full potential and have positive outcomes, giving them hope for the future.

This is an exciting new venture where you would be supporting 2 young people who have emotional and behavioural difficulties on a 2:1 basis.As Deputy Manager, you’ll be at the heart of it all—leading by example, setting boundaries, mentoring your team and ensuring every child in our care gets the therapeutic support and structure they need to reach their full potential.

Working alongside a Registered Manager, you will also have the additional support of Keys clinical teamand ALFA, our innovative hybrid learning solution.

What do you need?

  • A minimum of 2years’ experience working within a Residential Children's home.
  • Related knowledge of Ofsted legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Highly driven, proactive and enthusiastic.
  • A strong people manager with a hands on approach.
  • Experience of budgets and rotas.
  • Full driving licence is essential.
  • You need to beable to work flexibly in caring for the children. This will include working shifts and sleep-ins.
