Deputy Headteacher: Care, Guidance & Support

Outline of responsibilities:

• Leadership and management of the inclusion teams (attendance, safeguarding, SEND, and Stage 2) and the associated system.
• Maintaining a safe and secure environment for all members of the school community as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
• Ensuring the school's approach to achieving high levels of attendance is robust.
• Have oversight of the provision for SEND students.
• Ensure the planning and implementation within key areas are effective.
• Continue to develop and maintain links within the community and to promote positive relationships with parents, external agencies, and employers.
• To support the governing body.
• Wider leadership and management responsibilities.
• Be a member of the senior leadership team.
