Contract Type: Permanent, full-time | Salary: £42,000 - £52,500 per annum (based on experience) | Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am‑5pm (37.5 hours)

Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic, experienced Dealership Accountant to lead our team of account assistants and manage the financial accounting for the Charles Hurst division. You will work closely with the Retail Operations Financial Controller and provide a high standard of accounting support across the business.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly management accounts in accordance with group policies and submit them on time.
• Attend monthly and quarterly business reviews.
• Analyse and interpret dealership key performance indicators.
• Manage and control all dealership financial information reporting.
• Develop and support the accounts team.

Qualifications & Experience

• Proven experience as an accountant in the motor trade or an equivalent high‑volume accounting role.
• Business‑savvy, articulate, investigative, and highly organised.
• Experience using Kerridge is advantageous, though not essential.
• Excellent attention to detail, proactive, dynamic, and confident.
