Data Analyst Apprentice

Job Summary

You will learn and obtain data experience in different departments, such as:

  • Marketing
  • Supply Chain
  • Customer Service
Career Path

The apprenticeship lasts 24 months and integrates you into multiple business functions. You will be supported by a designated placement mentor.

Responsibilities

Placements may include:

  • Supply Chain – Purchasing, Material Control, Continuous Improvement, Logistics and Warehousing.
  • Marketing – Managing the Marketing mix for a brand, creating digital projects, and improving sales and profitability.
  • Customer Service – Insight into customer behaviour, support new service introductions, resource optimisation and analysis of product failures.
  • Data & Analytics – Gathering and cleaning data, interpreting results with statistical techniques, identifying quality issues, measuring key performance indicators, developing dashboards and reports.
  • Governance – Maintaining data policies, protecting data, ensuring privacy and ethical use under supervision.

Additional Responsibilities

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 GCSEs (A*‑C or 9‑4) to include English, Maths.

Successful completion of Level 3 qualification (e.g. A‑level, BTEC) with grades equaling 96 UCAS points or higher.

Interest in business, economics, maths, technology, sustainability.

Strong desire to learn and develop, open thinking, adaptability.

Demonstrated involvement in extra‑curricular activities or voluntary work.

Previous work experience or school‑based business initiatives (e.g. STEAM, Young enterprise).

Good IT skills – working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and ability to learn new software.

Ideally a strong work ethic, e.g. through part‑time employment or voluntary activities.
