About the role:

We are looking for a reliable, friendly, and well‑organised person to join our Finance Department as Credit Control. You will play an important role in ensuring that student accounts are managed accurately and responsibly. You’ll handle a range of credit control and financial administration tasks, always maintaining clarity, professionalism, efficiency and excellent communication.

The ideal candidate must be/have:
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
  • Communicates clearly, confidently, and warmly—especially when discussing payments.
  • Manages time and workload efficiently.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM databases.
  • Strong numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Brings a positive, respectful attitude when interacting with students.
  • Ideally has experience in credit control, finance administration, or working within an education or student‑facing environment.
Duties will include:
  • Managing student and customer accounts, ensuring payments are up to date.
  • Contacting students regarding overdue balances and following up appropriately.
  • Setting up, monitoring and managing payment plans.
  • Processing payments and updating financial records accurately.
  • Investigating and resolving account queries in a clear and supportive manner.
  • Working closely with the Student Support teams to ensure accurate account information.
  • Preparing reports and maintaining documentation in line with financial procedures.
  • Supporting the Finance Department with general administration when required.
  • Negotiable salary between £26K – £30K per year, depending on skills and experience.
