We are looking for a Corporate Tax Manager to join our Tax team, based in our Glasgow office.

Our Tax team works at the heart of our clients’ businesses, helping them navigate complex legislation, meet compliance obligations, and identify opportunities to maximise value. We combine deep technical expertise across both personal and corporate tax disciplines with a solutions-driven, client‑centric approach.

Our corporate portfolio spans a broad range of sectors and business structures, from ambitious owner‑managed businesses to large corporate groups. We work closely with colleagues in External Audit and Business Advisory Teams to deliver joined‑up support.

The scope of our corporate work is varied, covering corporation tax compliance, business advisory services, R&D claims, capital allowances support and strategic structural or transactional advice. We also engage in corporate transactional services advising on sale and purchase remits alongside due diligence.

We are currently developing our indirect tax offering and expanding into specialist tax services, supported by greater use of technology and a focus on efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on the management of corporate compliance services.
  • Manage a portfolio of our largest corporate tax clients.
  • Supervise and guide assignments as necessary to make sure all filing deadlines and related time limits are met.
  • Supervise the work completion, delegating as required, and ensuring effective delivery of work and targets are monitored and achieved.
  • Assist with departmental management and administration, including staff appraisals and general staff issues.
  • Coach, support, supervise and train team members.
  • Contribute to the development and management of the department, i.e. business development, sales and marketing, quality, admin processes, and resource planning.
  • Keep technically up to date with attendance at courses, personal reading, and research so as to assist with technical reports, as required.
  • Assist the dept leadership team, as appropriate.
  • Monitor and take responsibility for issuing of corporate fees and wip maintenance.
  • Any other appropriate tasks, as directed.

  • ATT/CTA qualified (or equivalent), with appropriate tax experience.
  • Proven experience in corporate tax services including reviewing and managing assignments.
  • Excellent technical knowledge with the confidence to liaise directly with clients at all levels.
  • Skilled at planning and delivering assignments to a high standard while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong people management skills, with the ability to supervise, support, and develop team members.
  • Proficient in the MS Office Suite.
  • A clear and positive communicator who can build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and motivated by delivering exceptional service across a diverse portfolio of clients.
