Job summary

A leading healthcare provider in Carlisle seeks a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Early Intervention Psychosis team. This role involves providing clinical expertise in mental health for complex cases, engaging in patient assessment, and working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams. Ideal candidates will have relevant qualifications and experience in general adult psychiatry. The position offers an attractive salary range of £109,725 to £145,478 annually, with potential relocation support and flexible working opportunities.

Qualifications

• Eligible for GMC registration with a licence to practice.
• Included on GMC Specialist Register or eligible for inclusion.
• Approved Clinician Status or able to achieve within three months.

Responsibilities

• Engage, assess, diagnose and formulate patients referred to the EIP.
• Deliver excellence in clinical care.
• Work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Skills

High level of clinical skills

Proven competence in diagnosis and management of psychiatric disorders

Excellent teaching skills

Established ability as a clinical teacher

Training in relevant treatment skills

Education

MBBS (or equivalent)

Postgraduate qualifications in relevant field
