Construction Project Executive – EMEA – Ops

Overview
As Waymo’s Construction Project Executive, you will lead site due diligence, design oversight, permitting, and build‑out across industrial, automotive service, and EV charging locations for Waymo in a fast‑paced environment with high ambiguity. Process excellence, collaboration, and detailed cross‑organ communication are critical at every turn.
Responsibilities
- Conduct site due diligence, negotiate transaction work letter documents, and manage permitting, design oversight, and build‑out of diverse locations, including electrical utility upgrades.
- Synthesize and present executive‑level business cases for capital investment strategies across a portfolio of projects.
- Build trusted relationships and act as liaison to align investments with portfolio strategies; communicate expectations, requirements, and status to key stakeholders, fostering a culture of speed, flexibility, and frugality.
- Collaborate closely with GPS peers, waymo legal, finance, and procurement teams to deliver highly successful projects and secure security, network, and partner integration.
- Innovate and execute processes and tools to ensure the complete cycle from site search due diligence through deal execution to first day of business is completed consistently and predictably, managing variable internal initiatives and projects.
- Create, innovate, and implement relevant systems of metrics to plan, manage, and measure performance of the project delivery process.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of real estate project management in industrial operations, automotive service, and charging of at least 500,000 square feet.
- Experience leading large‑scale real estate construction projects, orchestrating teams of project managers, architects, contractors, consultants, and attorneys through deal flows at values of $20M each and greater.
- Exceptional project delivery skills, including gathering jurisdictional limitations and roadblocks and communicating recommendations effectively.
- Advanced financial reporting and analysis acumen and budget management experience.
- Experience developing and implementing process improvements to streamline the full project delivery cycle.
Preferred
- A track record of proven objective analysis, delivering projects in an environment of speed, flexibility, and frugality.
- Business relationship management expertise.
- Degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, real estate, business administration, or finance.
- Automotive and/or rideshare sector interest or experience.
- Drive to work in a startup environment, ideally in tech industry.
- Commercial vehicle fleet infrastructure and electrical infrastructure/utility upgrade delivery experience with other technical expertise in building and site infrastructure.
Travel Requirements
Salary & Compensation
£140,000—£151,000 GBP. Waymo employees are eligible to participate in Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
