Overview

Role Purpose: To support the organisation’s fundraising efforts by engaging with the local community, helping to raise vital funds.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in planning, promoting, and supporting community fundraising activities and events (eg fundraising stalls or other activity in the community, delivering talks, collecting donations and assisting the community fundraising team with seasonal activities such as Easter and Christmas).
  • Represent the organisation at local events and community groups.
  • Help recruit and coordinate other volunteers for fundraising activities.
  • Build relationships with local schools, clubs and community groups to encourage support.
  • Share fundraising ideas and contribute to team planning sessions. Promote fundraising campaigns via social media and local networks.
Skills & Qualities Needed
  • Friendly, enthusiastic, and confident engaging with the public.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organised and reliable, with attention to detail.
  • Passionate about the organisation’s mission.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Previous fundraising or event experience is a bonus but not essential.

Location: Keech Hospice, external community across our referral areas - Bedfordshire/Hertfordshire/Milton Keynes.

Time Commitment: Ad-hoc (activity dependant), occasional evenings and weekends, busy seasonal periods
