Established SMEs are the backbone of local communities - representing over a third of our economy - yet have been largely neglected both by traditional high street banks and modern fintech providers.

Role Description

The Credit Completions Officer ensures the best possible customer experience for Allica’s lending products from Offer stage through to loan drawdown and completion.

Working closely with Relationship Managers, Business Development Managers, legal and valuation panels, and Underwriting teams, you will manage a portfolio of lending cases covering Commercial Mortgages, GGS loans, Overdrafts, and Business Loans progressing them efficiently and effectively to completion while maintaining compliance and operational excellence.

Principal Accountabilities
  • Deliver post-sanction administration for all lending products, ensuring timely release of communications, legal and valuation instructions, and payments.

  • Satisfy all Conditions Precedent to the loan/mortgage, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to drive completions.

  • Manage a pipeline of cases to meet service level agreements and quality standards.

  • Maintain strong working relationships with legal and valuation panel partners to ensure efficient correspondence and case progression.

  • Build and maintain close collaboration with Underwriting, Relationship Managers, and Business Development Managers.

  • Keep accurate case records, including a clear sanction audit trail for MI and monitoring purposes.

  • Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and all regulatory requirements, taking action to protect the bank’s business.

  • Communicate relevant updates to team members, senior management, and other stakeholders to enable informed decision-making.

  • Maintain and update customer records, including Core Banking system data entry.

  • Support the wider Operations team and other departments as needed.

Personal Attributes & Experience
  • Strong customer service ethic with a proven record of delivering high standards in a fast-paced environment.

  • Education to A level standard or equivalent.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, preferably with a Commercial Mortgage background.

  • Understanding of the commercial environment and lending pipeline management.

  • Strong financial and commercial awareness.

  • Good understanding of Conduct and Treating Customers Fairly requirements relevant to Credit Operations.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with strong relationship management abilities.
