Main duties of the job
  • The provision of an exemplary pharmacy service, in accordance with current legislation, clinical requirements and accepted professional and ethical standards
  • The provision of advice and support to consultants, other clinicians and patients whilst ensuring the safe, appropriate and cost‑effective use of medicines.
  • To advise on the safe management of medicines to the hospital and its departments, whilst staying compliant with current legislation and professional standards
  • Promoting a patient focused multidisciplinary approach to the delivery of an efficient, high quality healthcare service.

Job responsibilities

Spire Bushey Hospital has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Pharmacist, preferably with oncology experience, to join our team part time - 30 hours. This role is ideally suited to someone who is looking for the challenge of delivering a comprehensive pharmacy service within a hospital setting.

Spire Bushey Hospital is one of North London and Hertfordshire’s leading private hospitals, with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality private hospital treatment. All of our consultants are highly experienced and many enjoy national and international reputations.

The hospital offers a premium service in key areas of complex healthcare including orthopaedics, neurology, spinal, general, cardiac care, and gynaecology. Spire Bushey Hospital forms part of a 4 site portfolio, and is supported by and works alongside Spire Bushey Diagnostic Centre, Elstree Cancer Centre and Spire Pathology Centre based on Centennial Park in Elstree – just 5 minutes from the main hospital site.

Who we're looking for
  • Experience with clinical ward rounds
  • Pre‑Assessment experience preferred
  • Ideally Experience with oncology and BOPA accredited
  • Be GPHC registered – your registration should not have any restrictions or conditions
  • Have a minimum of 2 years, post‑graduation experience in a hospital environment at ward level
  • Clinical diploma desirable
Working Hours

Part Time – 30 hours – Monday – Friday 8am‑5pm / 9am‑5pm and some Saturdays 8am‑1pm.
