# Clinical Nurse Specialist - Renal* **Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital, Renal Service*** **Permanent, Part-time 64 hours per fortnight (0.8 FTE)**Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders.**About the Role**As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Renal Service, youll provide advanced clinical expertise, leadership, and compassionate support to patients living with stage four and five chronic kidney disease and their whānau. Youll work closely with nephrologists and the wider multidisciplinary team to guide patients through treatment options, including dialysis modalities, transplant pathways, and supportive care for those who choose nondialytic management.Your role will include nurseled clinics, home visits, complex care planning, education, and ongoing clinical support across the community and hospital settings. You will also lead quality initiatives, support patient flow across treatment pathways, and contribute to workforce development through mentorship, coaching and education. This is a senior clinical position suited to a nurse who is passionate about improving renal health outcomes and delivering equitable, evidencebased care.**About the Team/Service/ Location**The Renal Service at Hawkes Bay Hospital is a collaborative, patientcentred team providing specialist kidney care across the region. Youll work alongside nephrologists, nurses, allied health professionals, dialysis services, transplant coordination, and primary and community providers to deliver seamless, culturally responsive care.The team values partnership, innovation, continuous improvement, and Te Tiritibased practice.
