Job description

Overview

The Macmillan Acute Oncology Nursing Service is a well‑established service within Hywel Dda University Health Board. We are looking for a motivated and reliable Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the current team at Withybush General Hospital. This role will provide specialist nursing advice, guidance, support and leadership to patients admitted with complications of anti‑cancer treatment, complications of malignancy, or a new diagnosis of malignancy during an emergency admission.

Responsibilities

• Review patients admitted with complications of anti‑cancer treatment, complications of malignancy or a new diagnosis of malignancy.
• Support delivery of the Health Board's Cancer Treatment Triage line.
• Provide specialist education, training and guidance to staff and lead multidisciplinary teamwork.
<ép>Work autonomously, manage own workload and maintain high quality patient care.ép>
• Occasionally cover shifts on the triage line: 08:30‑16:30 Monday‑Sunday with a minimum of 1 in 4 weeks weekend working.
