Job summary

A community mental health organization is seeking an experienced Clinical Lead to oversee clinical practice within the Medway Therapeutic Alliance. This role involves providing clinical oversight, risk management, and collaborative work to shape trauma-informed support for children and young people. Ideal candidates should possess a recognized therapy qualification and substantial CYP clinical experience, along with strong supervisory skills. This permanent position is based in Chatham, with a salary range of £43,158.24 – £47,130.12 (pro rata for 22.5 hours).

Job description

Location: Chatham Base, working across Medway.

Salary: £43,158.24 – £47,130.12 (pro rata 22.5 hours).

Contract: Permanent.

Overview

North Kent Mind is looking for an experienced and confident Clinical Lead to oversee safe, consistent and high-quality clinical practice within the new Medway Therapeutic Alliance. This is an exciting role at the heart of our mobilisation, helping shape a trauma‑informed, needs‑led CYP offer from day one.

Responsibilities
  • Provide senior clinical oversight for all North Kent Mind delivery within the Alliance, including supervision for therapists, Triage Leads and Care Coordinators.
  • Lead on clinical risk, transitions and complex case decision‑making, ensuring strong safeguarding and clinical governance across the service.
  • Work closely with the Director of CYP Services, Project Lead and partners’ clinical leads to embed clear pathways, robust risk processes and reflective practice across the team.
Qualifications / Requirements

We’re looking for someone who brings a recognised therapy qualification, substantial CYP clinical experience and confidence supporting others in a supervisory or senior role. You will need strong judgement, the ability to work within safeguarding frameworks and a commitment to delivering high-quality, consistent support for children, young people and families.
