We have a great opportunity available to join Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Five wells, working as a CIAG Advisor. This role is offered on a permanent full-time basis, working 37 hours per week.

Site Information

HMP Five Wells is a Category C prison that is based in Wellingborough. Built in 2022, and costing £253m, this state of the art prison accommodates a male prison population. HMP Fivewells are committed to celebrating diversity and promoting equality throughout their services. The prison's aim is to make Five Wells a better place to live, work and visit through collaborative working with third party partners, The MOJ and its surrounding communities.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need to:

  • Hold a Level 4 Information, Advice and Guidance qualification (or work towards in‑post and achieve within 12 months)
  • Hold a Level 2 qualification in English and Maths.
  • Hold a CIAG Qualification
  • Have relevant experience of delivering careers guidance, using guidance tools, conducting assessments and supporting learning of individuals and groups in line with Matrix and Ofsted expectations.
  • Have experience of motivating and inspiring disadvantaged individuals to set and achieve ambitious career goals.
  • Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to support individuals to realise their goals and continuously improve the service.
