Overview

CDL A Hazmat Driver role at Airgas in New Carlisle, IN (AMG) - Bulk cryo logistics.

What you will contribute and grow

Airgas is committed to building a diverse and inclusive workplace. We are looking for a CDL A Bulk Driver to transport compressed and liquefied industrial gases safely and efficiently, with a focus on accurate and timely service to customers or storage sites.

Responsibilities

• Drive Commercial Motor Vehicle (tractor-trailer) to transport and off-load compressed and liquefied gases to customers or storage sites in a safe, timely, accurate, and courteous manner.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify maintenance needs and take appropriate action.
• Report accidents, injuries, safety issues, driving citations, and customer complaints to the supervisor, including service interruptions, as required.
• Complete and submit reports as required by DOT and Airgas policy.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age
• 3+ years of experience driving tractor-trailer vehicles
• Class A CDL with HazMat and Tanker endorsements
• Proficiency with manual transmission vehicles

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; two years technical college or military technical experience
• Three (3) years of HazMat or Tanker experience
• Knowledge of cryogenic, compressed and specialty gases (preferred)
