Equans Catering Supervisor – Cleveland & Durham Police Tactical Training Centre, Urlay Nook Stockton on Tees, TS16 0QB

Equans is recruiting for a Catering Supervisor for a full‑time, permanent role working 40 hours per week. Salary: £26,886.38 per annum plus benefits.

Shift Pattern

Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5 pm with a 30‑minute lunch break.

Note: This role includes a DS Basic check; passing is essential.

What you will deliver

You will oversee the operation of the canteen facility, including the preparation and cooking of food and beverages, ordering all food and non‑food items for service provision, and ensuring strict personal hygiene and equipment hygiene in compliance with environmental health regulations. You will manage the menu and stock control, ensure efficient and friendly service, and maintain effective communication with the Account Manager.

Who we are looking for
  • Knowledgeable in the theory of cooking, demonstrating good practical cooking techniques.
  • Previous experience working in a similar catering establishment and supervising a catering team.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety and Food Safety Management Systems.
  • Ideally holding or working towards a Food Safety Level 3 Certificate.
  • Ideally holding or working towards a HACCP Level 3 Certificate.
  • Ideally holding IOSH Supervising Safety (not mandatory).
  • Ideally holding a current First Aid qualification (not mandatory).
