Overview
Care Relief Team are looking to recruit Care Assistants who are passionate about care to work in the community. Supporting adults to maintain their independence and remain in their own homes, in the Barnsley/Dearne areas.
At this time, we are currently only looking to employ females, due to service user requirements.
Role and Availability
- Roles involve visiting clients in their homes and supporting them with daily tasks.
- Availability required: 7am-2pm and 3pm-10pm. Must be flexible for working hours.
- Successful applicants must be able to work every other weekend.
- Please note, applicants must be able to start from 7am. (no school hours are available at this time.)
Requirements
- Possession of a valid driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential).
- Right to work in the UK (the employer cannot offer health and care worker visas or sponsorship).
- Willingness to learn and develop skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with clients and colleagues.
- Proficiency in English; basic IT skills are desirable.
- Previous experience in care settings is a plus, but not required as full training is provided.
- Ability to work in a team and independently; compassionate and caring attitude towards clients.
- Ability to follow care plans and provide home care services.
Location
Ideal candidates will live within the Thurnscoe, Goldthorpe or Bolton-upon-Dearne areas.
Rates and Benefits
- Rates of pay: £12.90 per hour / £15.00 per hour on bank holidays.
- Paid mileage: 40p per mile between calls.

Qualifications
