Job description

Synechron is looking for an experienced Calypso Business Analyst to lead Calypso platform implementations and enhancements, with a focus on the back‑office domain within the banking sector. The ideal candidate will have strong Calypso expertise, particularly in version 18, and proven experience in testing and delivering Calypso solutions aligned with client and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyse and capture business requirements related to back‑office processes, ensuring alignment product expectations for Calypso implementation
  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, translating business needs into system specifications
  • Leverage deep knowledge of Calypso, specifically version 18, to support configuration, customisation, and implementation efforts
  • Conduct and coordinate testing activities within Calypso environments to validate solutions against business requirements
  • Support end‑to‑end testing, including functional, user acceptance, and regression testing of Calypso systems
  • Assist in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving issues that arise during implementation and testing phases
  • Contribute to documentation, test scripts, and training materials related to Calypso functionalities
  • Keep abreast of industry best practices and regulatory changes impacting the back‑office domain and Calypso workflows
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Extensive experience as a Calypso Business Analyst, with a strong focus on back‑office banking operations
  • Proven track record of implementing and supporting Calypso solutions, especially version 18
  • Deep understanding of banking products and processes relevant to back‑office operations
  • Hands‑on experience with Calypso testing, including preparing test cases, executing tests, and defect management
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into functional solutions
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills, capable of working effectively with technical teams, business users, and senior management
  • Previous experience working in complex, regulated banking environments is highly desirable
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Long term programme of work - London based x3 days in office - Strong market rates
