Cabling Project Manager – Scotland (Wood)
Transmission & Distribution Ltd are recruiting an accomplished Cabling Project Manager within the EHV Cabling Division. The role is based in Scotland (UK) and may involve travel to other site locations as required.

Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of win plans for strategic bids and tenders.
- Deliver all stages of assigned projects, meeting programme milestones and support mobilisation of new projects.
- Approve scope of work, plans, estimates for each project element.
- Ensure project controls (PMP, QA/QC, CPP) consistency.
- Manage programme, risk, change, EVM analysis, internal budget and cash flow.
- Allocate resources, resolve conflicts and optimise delivery.
- Promote performance management ethos within the team.
- Produce high standard programming and monthly reports.
- Address issues and challenges, providing leadership and troubleshooting support.
- Lead SHE culture, promote safety by design, manage safety risks.
- Enforce quality and professional standards throughout the project cycle.
- Maintain compliance with NEC contract terms, variations log, and subcontractor contracts.
- Manage Programme of Works, Quality Plan and Project Risk Register.
- Uplift company values, safety, integrity and commitment in all actions.
- Comply with health, safety, quality and environmental policies (OHSAS 18001, ISO9001:2000, ISO 14001).
- Assist with other duties as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience leading and managing EHV/HV 132kV cabling projects through design, construction, commissioning and close-out, including programme and planning management.
- Experience working with National Grid, SSE, SPENW and other transmission operators.
- Knowledge of street works, permits and local/council liaison.
- Experience managing design requirements and commercial budgets for cabling projects.
- Strong working relationships with clients and subcontractors.
- Understanding of engineering principles, CDM and NEC contract forms.
- Knowledge of cabling installation techniques.
- Full driving licence and negative drug and alcohol test result.
- Excellent communication skills.
