Responsibilities
- Shape strategic direction by partnering with the leadership team to understand business priorities and growth objectives.
- Drive growth through proactive origination and conversion of high‑value opportunities, including developing outsourcing propositions and leading proposal strategies.
- Build senior network across the firm to unlock cross‑service and external market opportunities.
- Establish and nurture executive‑level relationships with corporates across multiple sectors to generate sustainable revenue streams.
- Own key account strategies, ensuring growth plans are implemented and monitored.
- Oversee market engagement campaigns, design outreach strategies and ensure timely, high‑quality follow‑up.
- Represent the firm as a market ambassador at client, intermediary and industry events, translating post‑event actions into tangible opportunities.
- Manage the team and maintain capacity and capability for client requirements, including potential overseas travel.
- Shape thought leadership and sector positioning, generating ideas for market insights and ensuring marketing campaigns deliver ROI.
- Maintain a robust order book and accurate forecasting aligned to growth targets.
- Ensure best‑in‑class client materials, overseeing creation and refresh of sector credentials, pitch templates and case studies.
- Champion digital and social presence, driving sector‑related content and engagement across platforms.
- Foster collaboration and innovation, sharing market intelligence across the BD, Markets & Clients community.
Qualifications
Minimum criteria:
- Experience in sales and business development, with exposure to business process outsourcing solutions preferred.
- Excellent communication skills to manage client and delivery team relationships; willingness to travel to offices both within and outside the UK.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to engage and influence senior decision makers.
- Good organisational and IT skills, including experience with CRM tools such as Microsoft Dynamics.
- A proactive, can‑do attitude.
Preferred additional skills:
- Professional accounting qualification: ACA, ACCA, ICAS, CA, or CIPFA.
- Experience in outsourcing delivery.
