Job summary

A well-respected Freight Forwarding Company in Aberdeen is seeking a Business Development Manager to drive growth and acquire new customers. This role requires proven sales experience in the freight forwarding industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to negotiate contracts. The position offers a salary dependent on experience, inclusive of car allowance, and a commission structure with OTE exceeding £100k.

Salary and Benefits: DOE (Inclusive of Car Allowance) + Commission (OTE £100k+)

Our client is a well‑respected Freight Global Forwarding Company with Complete Global Coverage.

Due to their continued expansion, they are looking for a New Business BDM to join their team.

Responsibilities
  • Driving growth of the business to new customers
  • Generating new leads and maintaining a healthy pipeline
  • Effectively communicate with potential new customers to drive both continued revenue, profit growth and increased engagement
  • Put the customers' requirements at the heart of what we do, delivering high‑quality customer service at all times
  • Build and maintain strong, long‑lasting relationships with customers and suppliers, addressing needs and resolving issues swiftly
  • Communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of organisations
  • Negotiate and finalise contracts with prospective customers
  • Visit customer/potential customers to promote the company services
  • Understand and promote the company strategy
  • Establish key contacts, relationships and connections across the wider sector
  • Develop a deep understanding of customers' business, including group and extended opportunities, competitive influences, and networking
  • Ensure potential customers are aware of the latest solutions
  • Identify cross‑functional service/product opportunities
  • Work with operations and project teams to ensure swift, high‑quality onboarding of customers
