About the Role

Due to continued growth we are recruiting an experienced Business Development Manager from the Plastics Industry to join our expanding team. This role offers a challenging and rewarding career, where you will play a key role in shaping our vision to be the first choice for every plastic extruded profile challenge. You will identify sales opportunities through to conversion, negotiate commercial terms, and take real ownership to deliver measurable results.

Responsibilities
  • Identify plastic sales opportunities through to conversion, qualifying the customer requirements.
  • Ensure commercial terms are favourable to the business, using standard die and stocking agreements where appropriate.
  • Follow up on opportunities passed from marketing initiatives and collaborate with the Marketing Manager to co‑target opportunities in new markets.
  • Attend marketing‑based events such as exhibitions and industry events.
  • Maintain the CRM (HubSpot) for opportunities, record progress, set tasks and add key documents such as drawings.
  • Report progress on leads and prospects to the Sales Director.
  • Work closely with the Marketing Manager and Customer Success teams.
What We Are Looking For
  • Confident, experienced Business Development Manager with a strong background in driving sales.
  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to meet challenging sales targets.
  • 5+ years of B2B field sales experience (advantageous).
  • 5+ years experience within the plastic industry.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Willingness to travel regularly.

Other Information

This role is remote but will require occasional travel to our Head Office in Crownhill (must be commutable). Working hours: 09:00–17:00 Mon–Thu, 09:00–16:15 Fri.
