Description
Riverside Environmental Services Ltd is seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to join our sales team. The successful candidate will be responsible for generating new business, re-engaging dormant accounts, and managing the full sales cycle within a B2B, consultative service-led environment.
Location: Kent or Birmingham
Salary: £27,000 – £30,000 per annum + uncapped OTE
(Expected first-year earnings circa £40,000)

We are particularly interested in people with an Asbestos background
Key Responsibilities
- Complete a structured 4-week training and onboarding programme covering company services, sales processes, and target strategy
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets through: Outbound B2B sales activity (prospecting, nurturing, converting new business)
- Account management of lapsed and dormant clients
- Maintain accurate records and pipeline updates using the CRM system (HubSpot desirable)
- Liaise internally with technical departments to obtain pricing and prepare detailed proposals
- Negotiate terms with clients to secure new and repeat business
- Consistently meet performance targets, with progression opportunities linked to results
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
- Proven experience in B2B consultative sales within a service-based industry
- Strong communication skills (telephone, email, and face-to-face)
- Confident, enthusiastic, and results-driven approach
- High level of organisation and time management
- IT literate, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems (HubSpot desirable)
