Senior Building Surveyor

CHPK Group is a leading multi‑disciplinary consultancy based in London that delivers trusted advice and technical expertise to corporate occupiers, investment funds, and developers. We are looking for a Senior Building Surveyor to join our Building Surveying and Professional Services team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver a range of Building Surveying services, including dilapidations, technical due diligence, design & contract administration, project management and employer’s agent duties.
• Produce defect analysis, schedules of condition, PPM reporting, and re‑instatement cost assessments.
• Ensure technical accuracy, quality and consistency across all project deliverables.
• Manage client relationships, ensuring delivery aligns with agreed timescales, budgets and expectations.
• Mentor Graduate and Building Surveyors, providing APC support and technical review.
• Contribute to business development, networking and client engagement to grow CHPK Group’s Building Surveying offering.
• Share knowledge and best practices to promote technical excellence across the company.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of legislation, regulations and industry standards.
• Prepare and present reports, specifications and cost estimates with professionalism and commercial awareness.
• Collaborate closely with Cost Consultancy, Project Management and Engineering teams to deliver integrated client solutions.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Building Surveying or a related discipline.
• MRICS qualification (essential).
• Minimum 5 years post‑qualification experience within a consultancy environment.
• Proven experience delivering commercial building surveying services including dilapidations, technical due diligence and contract administration.
• Experience acting as Project Manager or Employer’s Agent.
• Strong working knowledge of JCT and NEC contract suites.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Deltek PIM is advantageous.
• Full UK driving licence.
