Your Role

The BSL Manager will oversee the coordination and organisation of British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters for Pride in London, ensuring that Deaf and hard‑of‑hearing attendees have full access to the festival’s events, performances, and activities. The role will involve working closely with accessibility teams, volunteer interpreters, and event coordinators to create an inclusive and welcoming environment.

Time Commitment & Term
  • Approximately 6-8 hours per week, with flexibility around peak activity periods.
  • Attendance to online weekly meetings as well as in‑person monthly all‑team meetings.
Your Responsibilities

Recruit, manage, and coordinate a team of professional BSL interpreters for the Pride in London event. Conduct pre‑event briefings and oversee interpreters during the event to ensure smooth operation. Develop and manage interpreter schedules, ensuring adequate coverage across various event locations. Handle all contracts and payment for BSL interpreters. Work closely with the Accessibility Team to integrate BSL provisions into wider accessibility initiatives. Provide training and guidance to the team on event logistics and key messaging. Ensure clear communication between interpreters, stage managers, and event teams.

What You'll Bring To Pride In London
