Job summary

A local primary school is seeking a Breakfast Club Assistant to run their breakfast club each weekday morning. The successful candidate will work 1.5 hours each morning, implementing activities for primary school children, preparing and serving healthy breakfasts, and establishing positive relationships with pupils. This part-time, fixed-term position runs for 8 months, starting January 5th, 2026. The role offers a supportive environment and opportunities for professional development.

Pay Range: Scale 2 Points 3-4 (£24,795.90 - £25,185.00 FTE)
Pro Rata Salary: £4,193.32 - £4,259.12
Contract Type: Part-time, Fixed‑Term (8 months)
Hours: 1.5 hours per day, 5 days per week
Start Date: 5th January 2026 (or sooner if applicant available)

The role is to run a breakfast club for the primary school each weekday morning. The programme runs from 07:30 am to 09:00 am.

  • Implement planned activities for a small group of primary‑school‑age children from 07:30 am until 09:00 am each morning.
  • Set up and clear away each morning.
  • Establish positive relationships with pupils.
  • Display a professional attitude.
  • Prepare and serve simple healthy breakfasts in line with school and dietary guidelines.
  • Remain calm under pressure.
  • Communicate well with parents, carers, staff and pupils.
  • Commit to supporting the values and ethos of our Church school.
  • Optional – the candidate will have a certificate in Food Safety.
