Role Overview

proAV is a leading global audio‑visual integrator, providing AV and event services across multiple client partnerships worldwide.

About The Role

As an Audio Visual Technician, your primary responsibility is to ensure the delivery of audiovisual and media services to the business in a professional and efficient manner. You will support clients through various channels and provide technical assistance during both in‑person and virtual meetings and events. Working closely with the AV Management and Senior AV Technicians, you will contribute to continuous service improvements and mentor junior technicians in best practices.

This position is based within our end‑users organisation in London, where state‑of‑the‑art technologies, services and training are continuously invested in. Experience and seniority of the position will be reflected in the remuneration and benefits package.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and dismantle audiovisual and video conference equipment according to client requirements.
  • Support and facilitate virtual meetings and events, running the audiovisual aspect of presentations for meetings & conferences.
  • Coordinate with remote offices and external parties to ensure smooth operation of video calls and webinars.
  • Provide technical support for in‑person and virtual meetings, ensuring all systems are functioning properly.
  • Assist clients in the use of fixed and portable audiovisual equipment.
  • Support the team in testing meeting‑room systems and virtual platforms on a day‑to‑day basis.
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information received for presentations and broadcasts.
  • Raise and track tickets for all incidents using the onsite ticketing system and ensure timely resolution of audiovisual service incidents.
  • Assist in implementing the preventative maintenance schedule for AV equipment and report all faults and service requests through established procedures.
  • Conduct regular scheduled testing of meeting rooms, equipment, and related systems.
  • Provide input and suggestions for continuous service improvements and log and track work in line with service requirements.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members, responding to phone calls and emails professionally within agreed timeframes and liaising with clients to understand their needs.
  • Mentor and train Junior AV Technicians, sharing knowledge of best practices and fostering professional growth.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills when interacting with clients at all levels, maintaining a positive image and attitude in challenging situations.
  • Display a flexible approach to handle different tasks throughout the working day and continually update technical knowledge through training and examinations.
  • Ensure all service paperwork is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
Desirable Skills
  • Strong customer‑service orientation and computer literacy, including intermediate knowledge of PowerPoint and familiarity with common webinar platforms.
  • Technical knowledge of audiovisual systems and ability to resolve issues quickly, minimizing downtime during live meetings and events.
  • Capability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues remotely.
  • Excellent organisational skills, flexibility and adaptability to handle diverse tasks during the working day.
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with team members and take instructions.
  • Professional and positive demeanor when interacting with customers.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing work schedules.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and improvement, including willingness to undertake training and examinations to enhance technical knowledge.
Hours of Work

40 hours per week, 9 hours a day on a rotational shift basis between 7 am‑7 pm, including an hour unpaid break, Monday‑Friday.
