Associate CSA Project Manager - Data Centres Finland - in Country role at Arcadis. Role description

Play a key role delivering tech sector mega-projects. We are looking for an experienced Associate CSA Project Manager/Owner’s Representative to join our rapidly growing team. You will play a key role in delivering one of our biggest data centre construction projects in Finland. You can be based either 100% in country, or there will be significant international travel to Finland.

Role accountabilities
  • You’ll be responsible for managing all stages of hyperscale data centre construction projects, taking projects through pre-construction, construction, and close out/fit-up.
  • Day-to-day this includes but is not limited to:
  • Pre-construction: Working with the client and general contractor to create and establish the Master Project Schedule and Master Project Budget; Supporting Contractor pre-qualification, bid solicitation, bid analysis and recommendations; Supporting contract negotiations; Assisting the client and the Client’s team in identifying, scoping, buying-out and scheduling of all Owner-direct vendors and consultants.
  • Construction: Managing the General Contractor and other directly contracted vendors on the ground; Coordinating Value Engineering efforts during the construction phase; Working with the Client’s commercial and PCG team to develop Budget Management and Tracking; Liaising with the Client’s schedule management team to provide Schedule monitoring, tracking and analysis.
  • Close out/Fit up: Initiating close out process prior to project completion, typically two to three months in advance; Establishing close out documentation requirements with the Client’s document controller; Collecting and tracking receipt of all close out documents until completion, including warranties, as-builts, O&M manuals, etc.; Assisting with City and/or other Authority final inspections and occupancy process; Assisting the Client in scheduling, coordination and management of all Owner-direct vendors, consultants.

  • An in-depth understanding of large-scale technical projects and construction techniques.
  • Ability to manage technical disciplines.
  • Experience working on Data Centre new build and refurbishment projects, preferably on hyperscale builds.
  • Ability to commit to significant international travel.
