A community support provider is seeking an Assistant Service Manager in Llandrindod Wells to oversee daily operations and provide essential support for individuals with learning disabilities. This permanent position requires prior experience in social care and a Level 3 in Health and Social Care. The role includes leading the team, managing personal care needs, and ensuring a high level of independence for those supported. Role: Assistant Service Manager
Location: Llandrindod Wells
Hours: 37 hours. Your shift pattern will include weekends and sleep-ins.
Salary: £27,417 pa. Sleep‑in shifts at £60 per night and travel expenses paid 45p per mile.

In this role you’ll be working alongside the Service Manager to ensure a safe and caring service for the people we support and our colleagues. To do this successfully, you’ll be visible in the day‑to‑day operation of the service supporting duties in line with the requirements of the people we support. You’ll work shifts on a rota basis which may include sleep‑ins. In the absence of the Service Manager, you’ll have responsibility for the day‑to‑day running of the service. This will involve providing leadership and management to the team, monitoring performance, carrying out one‑to‑ones and appraisals and holding team meetings. There is personal care involved in this role.

Above all else, your focus will be on achieving the highest levels of independence for the people we support, and on organising and modelling that support in an innovative, person‑centred and flexible way to make everyday remarkable.
