A leading educational organization in Newport is seeking an inspiring Assistant Headteacher for Maindee Primary School. Salary: L6 - L10 (£61,198 - £65,822)

The Headteacher and Governing Body of Maindee Primary School are seeking a senior leader who has a proven track record of inspiring staff and pupils. We are a highly inclusive community focused school with a proven track record of developing excellent relationships with all stakeholders in school and also with external partners and the wider community. We are looking for an Assistant Headteacher who will be able to lead areas of this work and further develop the aims of the school.
This post is offered on a secondment basis. Please discuss this and obtain agreement from your Headteacher before applying for the position.
It is essential that you are the right fit for our school but also that we are the right school for you. Candidates considering applying for this post are invited for an informal tour of the school on Wednesday 19th November 2.30pm - 4.30pm. This is a ‘drop in’ session, please email the school to let us know that you are planning to attend (maindee.primary@newportschools.wales).
The appointment process will involve a lesson observation, following which successful candidates will be invited to attend an interview.
