Job description

Casual position at an hourly rate of £13.57. Candidates should have good weekend and evening availability and must be available for training on the evening of Jan 13th. The Front of House team at Brighton Dome and Brighton Festival are seeking experienced FOH staff to perform the role of Assistant Duty Event Manager during events taking place at the Brighton Dome venues.

The ADEM role supports and deputises for the Duty Event Manager to deliver safe and successful events, providing exceptional customer service including supporting visitors with access needs and welcoming our diverse audiences.
The ADEM plays a key role in leading and mentoring the team of Stewards, Security and Volunteers whilst they are working on shift, ensuring they have the support needed and are prepared for doors to open to the audience.
The safety and security of our audiences and staff members is paramount, and the successful candidates will demonstrate their commitment to these aims and carry out required training to prevent and respond in emergencies. The ADEM plays a key role in ensuring the FOH areas are set up, liaising with other teams as needed and ensuring that FOH staff are supported to maximise sales of ice creams and other ancillary services.

Working as part of a pool of Assistant Duty Event Managers the successful candidates will have experience of supervising or managing teams or be able to demonstrate they have these skills. Candidates will be calm, positive, friendly and diligent as well as being excited to play a key role for our audiences. In addition to acting as the senior member of the FOH staff on duty, the ADEM may also be allocated a stewarding position in some contexts.
Shifts are variable with an emphasis on weekend and evening work.
