Asbestos Surveyor – Franks Portlock Consulting Limited

Location: Scotland

Salary: Up to £33,000

Hours: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday

The Role

Your main responsibilities as an Asbestos Surveyor will be to undertake all branches of surveying and analytical works. We cover areas across East & West Lothian, Midlothian, Edinburgh, Scottish Borders, Stirling, Perth & Kinross, Dundee and Glasgow.

You will be responsible for

• Carrying out asbestos surveys; management and refurbishment and demolition type surveys
• Creating reports
• Building and maintaining customer relations
• Representing the company well at all times and in interactions with clients
• Conducting site walkthroughs and survey plans

As an Asbestos Surveyor you will…

• Have effective communication skills and the ability to liaise with contractors
• Have a strong work ethic
• Have strong IT skills
• Be conversant with current Asbestos & Health and Safety legislation and guidance
• Be flexible in your approach to working hours
• Be self‑motivated and able to work as part of a team
• Be competent in literacy and numeracy to construct accurate reports

Essential Qualifications And Experience

• For the Asbestos Surveyor role the candidate must hold a BOHS P402 certificate or equivalent
• Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of industry experience in asbestos surveying and air monitoring
• A valid UK Driving licence is essential, a company car will be provided
