A leading engineering company in Derby is seeking an Apprentice - Rail Engineering Fitter. This 39-month program combines hands-on experience with academic study, leading to a Level 3 qualification. Responsibilities include mechanical and electrical modifications and quality assurance. Ideal candidates have at least 5 GCSEs with a focus on Maths and Science, and possess good mechanical and electrical skills. Your future role
This is an opportunity to join a world-leading engineering company through a well-established 39 month (to include End Point Assessment) Apprenticeship Development Programme. You will work alongside experienced professionals and receive strong support, mentoring and coaching while developing against the Apprenticeship Standard.
The programme includes placements across multiple departments to build a broad understanding of the business. Placements are planned to support your development and provide a varied, rewarding experience.
As a Service Staff Apprentice with Alstom you will gain solid practical experience across a range of disciplines. Throughout apprenticeship, you will be working towards completing a Level 3 Engineering Fitter qualification. You will combine the academic college studies with real life work based experience across our organisation.
You will attend Derby college on block release to complete the academic side of the course whilst getting hands on experience and learning from the company.
