You will support the laboratory team by conducting routine oil testing, managing data, and maintaining laboratory standards while pursuing a Level 3 qualification. Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths, English, and a science subject (or equivalent) at grade 4-9 or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Carries out the routine testing requirements.
• Records and archives test data generated.
• Routinely reports testing and highlights any problems.
• Ensures work requests are carried out as required.
• Develops and reviews laboratory procedures.
• Meets health, safety & environmental standards.
• Ensures the laboratory is a safe place to work.

Skills

Ability to work unsupervised following a planned work schedule

Writing and numeracy skills

Familiarity with computers / keyboards / typing skills

Word, Excel, Access – statistics, graphs, data analysis

General awareness of safety issues in a laboratory

Education

GCSEs in Maths, English, and a science subject at grade 4-9 or equivalent
