Job summary

A life science tech start up in Cambridge is seeking an Applied Biochemist to join their team. The role involves hands-on lab development using microfluidic techniques, designing experimental systems, capturing data, and developing SOPs for experimental reproducibility. Candidates should hold an MRes or MPhil in Biochemistry, Chemistry, or Biophysics, with project experience in microfluidics. Qualifications

• MRes or MPhil in Biochemistry, Chemistry or Biophysics with project experience in microfluidics.
• Strong project experience working in a scientific lab, ideally within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience handling proteins or nucleic acids.
• Experience with Arduino for test rigs or Python scripting for automation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and prototype experimental systems and capture data from biophysical assays.
• Develop SOPs to ensure experimental reproducibility and support IP generation.
