We are currently recruiting for a skilled Aircraft Engineer (Mechanical) to join our team and support aircraft maintenance activities under the guidance of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1). The role requires a solid understanding of relevant aircraft maintenance regulations and a commitment to working safely and in full compliance with company procedures at all times.
As an Aircraft Engineer – Mechanical, you will play a key role in maintaining and servicing aircraft in compliance with approved OEM data and company procedures. Working under the supervision of a Licensed Aircraft Engineer (B1), you will carry out scheduled maintenance, component replacements, defect rectification, inspections, aircraft reconfiguration, and refuelling. You’ll ensure strict adherence to safety standards, including SHE Technical Standards and risk assessment countermeasures, while actively contributing to our Safety Management System (SMS) culture. Responsibilities include accurate completion of maintenance documentation, tool and equipment control, maintaining cleanliness and compliance within work areas, and supporting aircraft ground movements. Occasional travel to support maintenance activities away from the home base may be required. This role demands a commitment to safety, precision, and continuous improvement in all aspects of aircraft maintenance.
We are seeking an individual with strong technical English skills (written and spoken), basic mathematics, and ideally an Aircraft Engineering Apprenticeship covering subjects such as English, Maths, and Physics. Experience in service or commercial aircraft engineering operations is desirable. The role requires the ability to work safely in line with risk assessments and technical instructions, good manual dexterity for using maintenance hand tools, and a trustworthy, motivated approach as part of a team. Candidates must be physically and medically fit to perform maintenance tasks, customer-focused with excellent communication skills, and able to work under tight deadlines while maintaining safety standards. IT literacy, including experience with MS Office, and knowledge of Human Factors are essential. Security clearance to meet UK and ITAR requirements is required, along with flexibility to support aircraft recoveries outside normal hours. A commitment to continuous improvement and adherence to organisational values is key, as well as confidence, self-motivation, and the ability to work collaboratively.
