Overview

Advanced Speech and Language Therapist role at Your Office Toronto. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team including the Principal Speech and Language Therapist, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Educational Psychologists, Paediatricians, and Child and Adolescent Mental Health Specialists to shape service delivery and pathways in neurodevelopmental care.

Responsibilities
  • Apply advanced clinical knowledge to assess, diagnose autism and complex communication needs
  • Lead on care pathway development and clinical protocols
  • Deliver specialist training and supervision to colleagues and students
  • Support the redesign of neurodevelopmental pathways to reduce waiting times and improve patient experiences
  • Work with multidisciplinary colleagues in providing assessment and contributing to differential diagnosis of autism for children and young people referred to the service
  • Develop, test, and implement efficient ways of working in line with NICE guidance, best practice and local autism core offer
  • Provide supervision to speech and language therapy colleagues and contribute to training packages as relevant to the role
