We have an exciting opportunity for a part time Advanced Nurse Practitioner to join our Primary Care NurseTeam at HMP Dovegate, a category B Prison located in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire.

HMP Dovegate is a private prison with a capacity of 1060 males.

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner you will have experience in Primary Care and long term conditions management and working closely with the MDT team. You will run clinics in the outpatients which are based in the healthcare department.

Hours
  • Monday - Friday
  • 30 hours per week over 4 days
  • 8am - 4pm
Salary

You’ll receive an annual salary between £59,677 - £66,792 FTE per annum - depending on experience, this will be pro rota.

What you'll be doing

As an Advanced Nurse Practitioner, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

  • Need expert clinical skills and demonstrate judgement in assessing and managing wide ranging and complex patient problems. You will provide clinical leadership for the mental health team.
  • This multi-disciplinary team is made up of a variety of registered and non-registered professionals including mental health and substance misuse practitioners.
  • You will act as a role model ensuring professional appearance and maintaining professional standards at all times. Supporting senior clinicians on site you will be part of the daily leadership team, providing clinical input for all patients.
  • As a clinical expert in your field, you will work with the team to ensure patient safety, the management of complex cases and ensure the most up-to-date treatment methodology is applied to patient care.
