Job summary
A leading engineering company in Wotton-under-Edge is seeking an Electrical Engineer to manage project design packages. Responsibilities include executing high-standard electrical designs on time, creating necessary risk assessments, and collaborating with other disciplines. Candidates should hold an HNC/HND in EC&I Engineering and have experience in a structured design environment. Knowledge of hazardous area applications and ATEX regulations is desirable. This role offers a chance to impact key industries effectively.
Qualifications
- Minimum of HNC / HND in EC&I Engineering or an associated discipline.
- Experience in a structured design engineering environment.
- Desirable: EC&I designs for hazardous area applications.
Responsibilities
- Take ownership of electrical elements of project design packages.
- Complete electrical designs to high standards on time.
- Create risk assessments and method statements as necessary.
- Liaise with various disciplines for interface design.
- Attend client meetings for design reviews and updates.
- Prepare documentation for formal safety assessments.
- Peer review designs of fellow engineers.
- Participate in design working groups to enhance standards.
