Job summary
A leading supplier of glass and plastic products in Burnley is seeking a Business Development Manager. Responsibilities include managing stock levels, liaising with suppliers, and supporting the sales team. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management and supplier relationship management. This role offers a negotiable salary based on experience plus a bonus.
Responsibilities
- Manage company stock levels using forecasting and back-order processes.
- Raise purchase orders with suppliers.
- Expedite orders to ensure on-time deliveries.
- 3-Way matching of supplier invoicing.
- Calculate delivered costs for solutions and propose.
- Maintain relationships with key suppliers (Worldwide).
- Support sales team to provide quick responses to customer enquiries.
- Ensure compliance with legislation and quality requirements.
- Assist Sales on NPD projects.
- Product drawing and document control.
- Regular reporting to senior management.
PAY: Negotiable Depending On Experience

Nekem specialise in project management of our customer requirements from concept through to delivery
- Manage company stock levels using forecasting and back-order processes.
- Raise purchase orders with suppliers.
- Expedite orders to ensure on-time deliveries.
- 3-Way matching of supplier invoicing.
- Calculate delivered costs for solutions and propose (in quote format) to other members of staff.
- Maintain relationships with key suppliers (Worldwide).
- Support sales team to provide quick responses to customer enquiries.
- Ensure all suppliers and products comply to current (and future) legislation and quality requirements.
- Liaise and assist Sales on NPD projects.
- Product drawing and document control.
- Regular reporting to senior management.
- Any other reasonable tasks required by the company.
- Glass – Bottles, jars, pots (hand blown and machine blown)
- Candle / Diffuser / Fragrance glass and Snuffers / Lids
- Decoration: silk screen, hot foiling, spraying, etching, engraving, labelling
- Plastic (PETG) jars and lids
- Blow moulding, injection moulding, anodising, plating, assembly
Location: Burnley
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience + Bonus
Hours of work: Monday – Thursday 8:30am-5pm Friday 8:30am – 3pm
