New Year – New Job: HGV Recovery Driver (Nights)
Locations: Stretford, Rotherham, Walsall, Northampton, Birmingham & Leeds
Available Start Dates: 12th January and 26th January 2026
Contract: Full-time, 4-month temp (via agency), weekly pay
(Extension or permanent offer may be possible depending on business needs.)
We’re recruiting HGV Recovery Drivers to work for one of the UK’s leading breakdown and recovery organisations.
You’ll be:
No multi-drops. No loading bay queues. Every day – and every breakdown – is different.
We are a specialist agency for the Breakdown & Recovery industry and have worked with this client for over 8 years, so we can give you a clear picture of the role and what to expect.
This role suits drivers who:

Driver Cards & Compliance:
- Prefer 1-year HGV driving experience however will accept freshly passed HGV drivers who have previous experience in either 7.5T vehicles or buses / coaches
- Confident dealing with the public
- Able to work in all weather conditions
- Self-motivated and calm under pressure
Full paid induction and training
All travel, accommodation and food expenses are paid during the first two weeks.
First 12 weeks:
After 12 weeks worked (overtime rate increases in line with Agency Workers Regulations (AWR)):
Note: Some Recovery Patrols can earn up to £45,000+ depending on hours worked plus additional incentives.
If the client offers you a permanent role at the end of the temp contract, you can expect:
