Job summary
A rail maintenance company is seeking an Exam & Overhaul Technician for a long-term contract in Andover, UK. The role involves conducting examinations and repairs on rail vehicles, ensuring safety and compliance standards are met. Ideal candidates will have strong mechanical and electrical skills, and a Level 4 qualification. Flexibility for day or shift work is necessary, alongside collaborative skills with engineers. Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Examination, Overhaul or Maintenance Technician in rolling stock or similar.
- Flexibility to work day shifts or rotating shift patterns.
- Understanding of rail industry standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Carry out examinations, overhauls and heavy maintenance on rail vehicles.
- Inspect mechanical and electrical systems to identify defects.
- Diagnose faults and perform effective repairs as per specifications.
- Collaborate with engineers and supervisors to meet deadlines.
