A progressive financial services company in Birmingham is seeking a Head of Finance to lead its commercial and financial strategy. You will manage a £200 million portfolio, ensuring excellence in financial control and governance while driving performance. Ideal candidates are qualified accountants with strong commercial finance backgrounds and exceptional leadership skills, ready to make an impact in a fast-moving organization.

We7re looking for a high-performing Head of Finance to lead the commercial and financial strategy for a £200 million business portfolio within a fast-paced, growth-focused environment.
This is a key leadership role 5fb partnering directly with the Managing Director to drive performance, improve margins, and enable smart, scalable growth. Youll own the numbers, lead a high-impact finance team, and ensure excellence in financial control, governance, and strategic insight.
- Full P&L ownership, forecasting, and financial leadership for a £120m+ business unit
- Strategic business partnering with the MD and senior stakeholders
- Lead financial planning, risk management, and commercial analysis
- Identify margin improvement and cost-saving opportunities
- Champion automation, digital tools, and data-led decision making
- Drive contract performance, cash flow, and working capital
- Build and mentor a high-performing finance team
- Qualified accountant (CIMA / ACCA / ACA) with significant post-qual experience
- Strong commercial finance background with a proven track record of driving performance
- Exceptional business partnering and leadership skills
- Comfortable working at pace, solving problems, and influencing change
- Experience in multi-site, service-based businesses (Facilities Management or infrastucture a bonus)
- Confident using finance systems and analytics tools (SAP, Cognos, etc.)
